ELISSA BLACK

Ms. Black, Form Tomorrow’s community planner, holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies from Humboldt State University and a Master’s degree in City and Regional Planning from California Polytechnic University. Since her family moved to the Hurricane Valley area of Utah in 1993, Ms. Black has grown to know the Washington County (UT) region and surrounding areas very well. In addition to spending a significant amount of time growing up and living in Washington County, Elissa has had the opportunity to live and work in different parts of the West, including California and Hawaii. Upon completing her undergraduate studies, she worked for non-profit organizations that varied in their missions from improving the health and well-being of people, assisting low-income populations, and preserving cultural resources. Ms. Black brings to Form Tomorrow valuable experience from her most recent work as a land use planner with the San Luis Obispo Council of Governments (SLOCOG), a planning agency that focuses on regional transportation and land use planning for the California Central Coast.
